This weekend was Norba Nationals in Snowmass.
The pro short track was later in the day, after the X-C. The Luna Chicks decimated the field. Here's Georgia and Katerina opening up a gap. Katerina ended up with the win after Georgia led the whole race.
Lea D, homegirl from Jericho, VT was riding strong. Awesome to see her. She'll be heading to Worlds in Scotland on the second of September! Good luck!
Then there was the end of season 80's party, put on by Trek and Gary Fisher. There were some hilarious costumes and big hair. Below is Janis and Lynn's mohawk creation on Nat. It ending up being more of a burrito on his head, but still a good look.
Janis, Lynn and I drove to Aspen on Saturday morning to pre-ride the cross country course for Sunday's race. It was a great course - about 20 miles with about 5000 ft of climbing. Lots of killer single track and some screaming descents. Below, Janis navigates some single track through the Aspens.
The Tough Girls had a successful weekend with 3 of us on the podium for the X-C. Lynn and Janis took 4th and 5th, respectively in the Super D. Check out http://www.toughgirlcycling.com/ for pictures (should be updated shortly). My boss, Brian and his family were in Snowmass for the weekend, and came out to cheer. Below is a picture of me with his cutie little daughters, Katie and Emily. Not so little, as they're quickly surpassing my towering height.
