We started off the morning with blueberry-strawberry-chocolate chip pancakes. Then we hopped on our bikes for a cruise up to Spruce Confections for some coffee and a muffin, courtesy of J-dubbs (Jeff Wardell). We rode to Jamestown. It's been so long since I've had a weekend-day off of racing - I forgot how loaded the roads are with cyclists. All the weekend-warriors come out to play.
Me and Brother Dan. Probably the last ride together before he's officially hitched. Craziness!!On our way back into town, Cannon Lannan flatted. Check out the slit in her tire. Coach Missy's Tip of the day: Always carry a dollar when riding; you never know when you'll need to fix a flat or buy a cup of coffee.
Be careful, there may be a tire slitter on the loose. Last night when Bro-Dan and I were driving to Denver to pick up my new car, we noticed that we were losing air on the front tire. We check it out and saw a huge slit in it. It flatted wicked quickly - just like Anne's flat. Coincidence?? Tire-slitter-bandit??
In Jamestown there is a post office. We saw a golden retreiver picking up his mail. His name is Dave. Dave gets a lot of mail.
Apparently one day Dave took the mail out of his owner's hand, and has been picking it up at the post office ever since. That's better delivery than those dinky USPS trucks (better gas mileage too).Me and Brother Dan. Probably the last ride together before he's officially hitched.
