Today was the Eldora Escape; a mountain bike race, part of the Mountain States Cup series. It was a good field - Katie Compton showed up and crushed us all. Gretchen Reeves was out, as was Caitlyn Tuel. It rained last night, making for some slick and challenging conditions. Slippery roots - On the first lap I crashed on one and landed on my top tube on a not-so-good place. After that, on the cooking downhills, I was not cooking. However, I gotta admit, it was pretty cool having a "P" on my calf!

After the women's race, there was a kiddies race in the technical parking lot. 
Tough Girl Lynn led them out. She had two races in one day, and remarked that the kiddies were drilling it.
